Magnolia Pictures released the film in theaters and on VOD platforms on September 4, 2015. CNN Films will premiere the film on television in early 2016.

Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine was the opening film, kicking off the 58th San Francisco Intl. Film Festival in April 2015.
