Focusing on his role in three key events—America’s secret bombing of Cambodia in 1969, the approval of Indonesia’s genocidal assault on East Timor in 1975, and the assassination of a Chilean general in 1970—the film examines the possibility that Kissinger bears responsibility for many of the deaths in Vietnam from 1969 to 1975. Bringing together Kissinger’s friends, colleagues, and detractors—including Gen. Alexander Haig, Jr., Seymour Hersh, Christopher Hitchens, Walter Isaacson, William Safire, Lt.
